Change to the Town of Bronson Regular Council Meeting for July 2016

PUBLIC NOTICE:

CHANGE TO THE TOWN OF BRONSON REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING  

    The regularly scheduled meeting for the Town of Bronson Town Council normally held on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 pm will be held on the first Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 pm for the July meeting only.

The meeting will be JULY 5, 2016 at 7:00 pm. Any questions may be directed to the Town Clerk at 352-486-2354 or at the town hall.

 

Parks & Recreation Update

Bronson Parks and Recreation is gearing up for a busy and fun summer. First the Spring Sports Banquet will be held Tuesday May 24th, 2016 at 6:30pm at the Bronson Middle High School Cafeteria. Come out and watch your favorite player receive their award.

We are already looking ahead to Fall sports. Fall sports registration forms will be accepted Monday May 16, 2016 through July 18th, 2016. The cost for BPR contact football and cheerleading is $85.00 and fees must be paid at the time of registration. Late registrations will be accepted after July 18, 2016 however the fee will be $100.00 and will be due at the time of registration.

Spring conditioning will start May 16, 2016 from 5:30 until 6:45. The dates of conditioning are May 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 30 and 31st. There is no fee for Spring conditioning.

Summer Fun will be had at Camp I Can, registrations will be accepted starting Monday May 23, 2016. Camp I Can will be held Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am until 3:00pm, beginning on June 21, 2016. The fee for the camp is $30.00 and lunch and snacks will be provided. The “campers” will also receive a camp Tee-shirt.

Bronson Parks and Recreation would like to thank all of the coaches, volunteers and parents who make this program possible. We are so proud of all of the hard work our teams have put in this year and we look forward to a great Summer and Fall.

2nd Annual Bronson Blueberry Festival

Come join us Saturday May 14, 2016 for the second annual Bronson Blueberry Festival. There you will find all things blueberry, from fresh blueberries to a wide assortment of other foods made with blueberries. Other delicious foods will also be for sale.

The Blueberry Festival will host local growers with fresh berries for sale. Vendors will be on hand selling a wide assortment of crafts and other goods. There will be music and a children’s play area.

The morning of the festival the 5k Blueberry Stomp will take place with registration starting at 7am and the race starting at 7:30pm. The 3.2 mile course will wind through town to finish in the James H Cobb Park.

The festival will be held Saturday May 14, 2016 9am – 4pm. If you are interested in being a vendor please contact the Town Hall for an Vendor Application @ 352-486-2354.
