NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 26-01
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Town Council of Bronson of its intention to adopt an Ordinance as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF BRONSON, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING ZONING COMPLIANCE VERIFICATIONS; ADDING SECTION 6-2; REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance at the Dogan S. Cobb Municipal Building, 660 E. Hathaway Ave., Bronson, FL, on the 2nd day of March 2026, at 6:00 P.M.
Those wishing to inspect a full copy of the proposed Ordinance may do so at the Town Hall in Bronson, 650 Oak St., Bronson, FL 32621.

The Town of Bronson is currently in the process of establishing a Zoning Compliance Verification form that will be available online. Until that Ordinance, as listed above, is passed, you will need to come to Town Hall to obtain a Zoning Approval Application. This is the necessary first step before going to the Levy County Development Department to obtain a building permit. This applies to any type building, mobile home installation, reroofing or remodeling, electrical or HVAC work — any type work that requires inspection. The Zoning Approval Application provides information to support an application for a building permit, but is not the permit, itself. Do not commence work without a proper permit from the Levy County Development Dept.
