Zoning Department

With the adoption of Ordinance 26-01, the Town of Bronson has established a new Zoning Compliance Verification process. This is the necessary first step before going to the Levy County Development Department to obtain a building permit. This applies to any type building, mobile home installation, reroofing or remodeling — any type work that requires inspection. The Zoning Approval Application provides information to support an application for a building permit, but is not the permit, itself. Do not commence work without a proper permit from the Levy County Development Dept. This form should also be used for a shed, fence, sign, pool or demolition of a property. 

The new Zoning Compliance Verification form is now available as a fillable pdf. A Zoning Compliance Verification Form can also be obtained at the Bronson Town Hall, 650 Oak St., Bronson, Fla., 32621. Resolution 26-01 established the fee for the Zoning Compliance Verification at $50. Zoning Forms: 

Zoning Compliance Verification – Use this form for zoning approval when no zoning changes, variances or special exceptions are needed for the project. 

Land Use Action Application – Use this form, along with these Application For Land Use Instructions, when a zoning change, such as residential to commercial, is needed. 

Zoning Variance Or Special Exception Addendum – When a development activity does not conform with the Town of Bronson Land Development Code, it may still be possible by variance of a zoning ordinance or by special exception to the land use. Use this form in addition to the Land Use Action Application if a variance or special exception is needed.
